Taylor Hollingsworth is a Birmingham original. He played lead guitar in Conor Oberst’s Mystic Valley Band, co-founded the folk-rock duo Dead Fingers, and wrote songs for his garage band The Blips that Little Steven’s Underground Garage crowned “Coolest Song in the World.” His new album, Folk N’ Roll, out this August on Dial Back Sound, captures his one-man show: fingerpicked guitar in the spirit of JJ Cale and Mississippi John Hurt, with rock and roll grit.
